First Deputy Minister of the MDD Zh. Zhumaliev met with the CEO of the Kt Cloud company in South Korea

On March 18, 2024, as part of a study tour for civil servants to South Korea in order to gain experience in implementing the state cloud platform (Government Cloud or G-Cloud), First Deputy Minister of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic Zhumamudun Zhumaliev held a meeting with the management of Kt cloud represented by Vice President Nam Chung Bom and IDC Executive Director Kim Seung Un.

During the meeting the following issues were discussed:

− KT G-Cloud overview: current position and key skills;

− Presentation of the KT G-Cloud project and billing methods;

− Review of the Kt cloud management system, including Helpdesk, deployment procedures, security, incident response, change management and other aspects of ITSM;

− Current information about the State Data Center of South Korea.

The employees of KT Cloud told about the experience of Korea in creating the Government Cloud and showed 2 data centers where the Government Cloud is located, which are placed in the city of Cheonan and the city of Seoul.

During the meeting the issue of potential areas for further cooperation was discussed. Representatives of Kt Cloud expressed their full readiness to assist in the implementation of the Government Cloud or G-Cloud platform in the Kyrgyz Republic and to share their experience.

As part of the Digital CASA-KR project, work is underway to create a government cloud platform (Government Cloud or G-Cloud) for more reliable and uninterrupted delivery of government services to citizens.

The use of the cloud platform will provide consolidation of the existing infrastructure and optimization of IT equipment of government agencies, flexible scaling, will reduce the cost of ensuring the continuity of services and disaster recovery. In other words, a solid technological basis (foundation) for the digital economy and digital government will be created. As a result, the state will be able to provide and citizens will be able to receive high-quality and reliable electronic public services.
