Results of the 2-Day Turkic States AI Forum in Bishkek

On October 9-10, 2024, the Turkic States AI Forum successfully took place in Bishkek, bringing together leading experts, specialists, and representatives from government structures of Turkic states. The Forum gathered around 500 participants and 46 speakers from 20 countries to discuss key issues of digital development and artificial intelligence.

The Forum was organized under the initiative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, and under the guidance of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic as part of the implementation of the digital transformation program for 2024-2028. The goal of the event was to create a dialogue platform for discussing advanced technologies and the future of artificial intelligence in the context of the economies and societies of Turkic states.

She highlighted that the implementation of AI at all levels—from government administration to private business—will open new horizons for the region.

The forum was organized by the Ministry of Digital Development of the Kyrgyz Republic and supported by various international and regional partners, including Google, UNDP, OSCE, High Technology Park, UCA, AIDA, and many others. The platform became not only a place for exchanging experiences but also a breeding ground for new ideas and projects aimed at developing AI in Turkic states.

During the forum, participants reached several agreements on collaborative projects in the field of artificial intelligence and digitalization. Numerous panel discussions were held to discuss concrete steps for developing technologies in the Turkic world.

The event was covered by 33 representatives of leading media outlets from 20 different publications, including Turkic-language and international media. This extensive coverage helped convey important discussions and key points of the event to the public, fostering increased interest in the topic of AI in the region.
